About Me

My photo
I live in Kent with my husband, toddler Tilly (henceforth known as Monkey) and another baby due in November. We have two cats, Duncan and Lady Macbeth, and four chickens who kindly lay us eggs daily. We live in the picturesque seaside town of Broadstairs. I enjoy reading, knitting and cooking. I'm trying to be a bit 'greener' (not sure how successfully), and to be a gentle parent. Extended breastfeeding and co-sleeping don't freak me out, we use cloth nappies and try to follow some of the ideals of Attachment Parenting. If that sounds as if I know what I'm doing, I don't! I am also a psychotherapist with an interest in Focusing-oriented therapy, and I have a small private practice in the area.

Aww, bless her! Did she have fun?

She was a bit concerned at first (so was her mama!) but by the time we got moving she was fine and singing her way around the block!

Awww beautiful photos hehehehe. That is one heck of a bike seat :) What was it like cycling with a passenger?

Hi Joxy, it was a little strange, the balance was slightly off and she slid about a little in the seat as she is so small. Makes the bike quite a bit heavier as well of course (the seat rather than the Monkey!). She was well strapped in though. I think we're going to have fun, especially when we move and there are some nice coastal rides we can do xx

That's quite a seat! I guess I'm going to have to do some serious looking around, I'm looking forward to cycling along the coast too, seeing as we live here already!

Aw, she looks so cute. Gwen has just been on her maiden voyage on Daddy's bike too - although they only got to the end of the street!
